Welcome to the home of Forever Families Through Adoption, Inc. My name is Joy Goldstein, and FFTA is a New York authorized and Connecticut-licensed, non-profit 501c3, adoption placement agency and resource center located in the Rye Brook/Port Chester area of Westchester County only 35 minutes outside of New York City. FFTA was founded by my husband, Michael and myself in 2007, recognizing that every child has the right to grow up in a loving, nurturing, secure and forever home.
After more than 25 years of helping to create "forever families" through adoption and over 2,500 successful placements through Michael’s law firm, we had earned a reputation within the adoption community for unsurpassed personalized service and operational excellence. As a three-time adoptive parent, I feel that I am uniquely qualified to help guide prospective birth and adoptive parents through the adoption process and am confident that the committed and capable staff I have assembled at FFTA of adoptive parents, social workers, attorneys and adoptees, will help to create many forever families for years to come.
Whether client or colleague, you become a member of the FFTA family the moment we begin to work together. As such, FFTA pledges to be available to you so that no matter what, when or where your need, we will be there for you. We will continue to commit ourselves to being the best in our field, and to working tirelessly to ensure that all of the children we help place will grow up in their "forever families."

Mission Statement
Forever Families Through Adoption, Inc. is a non-profit adoption placement agency and resource center founded by social workers and adoptive parents with the belief that every child eligible for permanent adoption, regardless of racial or ethnic background, or physical or emotional challenge, has the right to grow up in a loving, nurturing, secure, and forever home.
Inspired by our experience and many years of service in the adoption field and community, it is this agency’s goal
to unite children in need with their forever families and to help keep “harder to place” children out of the state
system through domestic and international adoptions.FFTA seeks to educate the community about adoption and related parenting issues; and to promote a positive
experience for everyone involved through the counseling, education and support we provide to our clients.FFTA is committed to treating all persons with respect, dignity and compassion and welcomes all families regardless of race, religion, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, age, nationality or disability.
FFTA will ensure, to the best of our ability, that the dream of building and maintaining families through adoption becomes a reality.
Support Sam the Ironman
FFTA's Board Secretary Sam Karliner, 57 years old is a 10x Ironman, adoption advocate, husband and proud adoptive father of twin sons.
Sam is an accomplished criminal defense attorney in private practice for over 30 years. While he loves what he does, Sam admits his day job helps to support his true passion of endurance sports. Forever Families Through Adoption, Inc. Voluntarily Relinquishes Hague Accreditation
After much consideration, our Board of Directors along with the support of the FFTA staff has made the decision to voluntarily relinquish our Hague Accreditation. Due to the closing of several countries' programs to adopt from the United States, plus a global pandemic, it is no longer feasible to continue our Hague Status, which we proudly maintained since 2008. We have felt honored to be able to work with CEAS, IAAME, the Department of State and so many Domestic and International Adoption Service Providers, such as ANW, EFKO, CONANI, TDH and prospective adoptive parents throughout the years. What an amazing experience to help build families here and across the ocean! FFTA is looking forward to expanding our Domestic and Foster to Forever programs.

Forever Families Through Adoption is proud to be one of the 172 child welfare organizations joining the the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation's All Children - All Families (ACAF) program in 2023, as highlighted in a new report. Together, these organizations work to improve the services provided to the LGBTQ+ community, including children in foster care and prospective foster and adoptive parents who are LGBTQ+.
FFTA is so proud to have again received the highest "Innovative Inclusion" tier of recognition. We are honored to work with LGBTQ+ families and are committed to treating all persons with respect, dignity, and compassion.
